I Heart The Beatles and this Book! February 23, 2010 Kim Phung It's a great book, very accurate, though I think there are 2 C chords missing in one my favourite song "I Should Have Known Better". I still give it 5 stars because it has provided hours of fun and entertainment. Any Beatles fan who plays guitar will love it. If you know most of the songs, they will be easy to play with this book.
I'm sure there's a handful of songs that have a few minor mistakes but there are an overwhelming number of superb tunes that are spot on. This book is as much a living tribute to the band and it's song writing talent as any bestseller or biography written about The Beatles and their music, the "alive" part of the tribute, being the singers and musicians who play and sing/perform these timeless classics.
Great Book. February 21, 2010 R. Taylor (england) Excellent no nonsense accurate chord book.
just wish all chord books were like this.
Simple and Easy February 1, 2010 Mr. R. J. Wilson (PLYMOUTH, DEVON United Kingdom) This series of books is excellent for guitarists who know the songs reasonably well and want to know the lyrics and chords. Only Lyrics, chords used and the chord boxes are provided, there is no score. Sometimes the choice of chord boxes is debatable as sometimes open chords are shown when a barre chord would be better but that is just nit-picking.
All songs are in their original recorded keys. Recommended.
comprehensive November 3, 2009 daveyjones0_2 (London) it is what it is a complete songbook of beatles songs. it had all I wanted.
Beatles complete songbook November 1, 2009 P. V. Courtney This songbook could be improved by the addition of a simple melody line in music notation for each piece. Without this, it is difficult for the amateur to know how to begin and how the rhythm works. While most people know a lot of Beatles melodies, there are many obscure tunes in the book that could be revived by such an improvement.
Otherwise, the book is fine. Much more compact and easy to use than the earlier edition.
