Customer Reviews: Fun Book February 17, 2010 Krishna Jagannath (London,UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have the 2005 edition - was looking forward to the newer 2009 edition pub by Hamlyn
While it has been made very appealing for the younger kids with lots of diagrams and colour - so many of the older lists have vanished which is sadly disappointing
why would someone want to know the top 10 surnames in Poland (among the 6 or 7 countries chosen?)- quirky at best
Also for instance the most populous cities of 1910 are listed but for comparison the contemporary list is now missing - the entire lists on books have been chopped off - am better off with the earlier versions
though it will defintely appeal to newer and younger readers with a free CD to boot - prefer the older DK editions which were more informative if a bit less colour - perhaps an edition for adult readers will be in order in an otherwise excellent concept

Top 10 of Everything 2010 January 1, 2010 Mrs. Bridget A. Steele (UK) This has been an informative and fun book to read with all the family dipping in and out and exclaiming over the many interesting facts. The book appeals to people of all ages and is great entertainment.
Top 10 read December 26, 2009 L. Mitchell (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my 15 year old son and it kept me entertained as I read it pre Christmas! It has a top 10 list for just about everything! It is full of photos, I would recommend it as a light read and probably useful for pub quiz fanantics. It has a CD for a quiz too but not tried it yet.
