If you are excited by the apparently generous and varied collection of music on this CD then you need to know that the track listing could be extremely misleading. Pieces may contain only one movement or part of the composition and may even be faded out before they have finished! Other tracks are not the usual version of the piece concerned. The track listing rarely makes this clear. The CD is intended as a (historical) record of famous cellists, not as a collection of music.
