The Voice - Andrew Johnston April 26, 2010 Changing State (Melbourne, Australia) This CD is for those with an appreciation of the fine music that a boy soprano can provide. It is a well-balanced mixture of classical and popular songs and the sound is superb. The music just floats over you with very little sound variation (loud and soft) and no harshness. I have played this cd many many times since I bought it.
Magical music March 4, 2010 Jenny Bankier (Kingscliff, NSW, Australia) After seeing Andrew on uTube, I just had to hear more of his wonderful voice. What an amazing gift to share with the world. I hope all his wishes come true.
Well Done Andrew! January 9, 2010 A Nobody (UK) I do not care what musical snobs think of TV's 'Britain's Got Talent'. The show, fortuitously for us, has provided chorister Andrew Johnson with a platform to share his delightful voice with a wider audience that might never have heard him sing so beautifully. -
No doubt, Andrew's voice has now changed. Let us hope his brief dipping into a singing, recording profession so young will spur him on to training his voice to a further useful singing career where he might justifiably delight us (since they're all doing it) with a rendition of "How can I keep from singing" by Rev. Robert Lowry.
A lovely voice December 31, 2009 CL Ellison (UK) I enjoy listening to this CD. However, it is very difficult to hear the words he is singing. I do not think this is due to a problem with his diction so must be due to poor production. If you are happy just to be carried away by the music then it will not bother you, if however you like to hear what is being sung, this is not the CD for you.
Andrew Johnston - Voice of an angel! November 28, 2009 M. Malyon (North Yorkshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this CD having only heard one song from it and I'm thrilled to say that it is fabulous!
Andrew Johnston has in some ways had a tough young life so far and sought solace singing in his church. Thank goodness he did, or we may never have been privileged to listen to this young man. The purity of his voice cannot fail to move you. Listen to the feeling in the songs on this CD and just enjoy!! The mix and choice of songs is perfect and my only criticism is that when I play it, it finishes far too soon.
Highly recommended - and certainly a true, natural talent to watch out for in the future. I think even when Andrew Johnston's voice breaks, his will be a really good voice still - think of Aled Jones.
Love this CD, just love it!
