I first heard these new remixes as part of the preshow for Paul McCartney's 2004 tour of Europe. I knew all these songs already but hearing them in a new, funky context was great. Freelance DJ Hellraiser was McCartney's co-worker on these new remixes and they did a brilliant job, especially as someone as pedantic as me, who usually thinks these things are sacriligious, loved it. They're easy to listen to and very enjoyable, as were his Fireman projects. I also heard these tracks played in the clubs so if they're reaching new audiences, I am all for it!!

Unlike Paul's Fireman experiments, this album is actually a pleasure to listen to. Some famous and not-so famous Macca songs are given new clothes to wear. Way to go, Paul!
